Background

I was born W. Corbin Ballard on a Friday morning in November 1996. I grew up a natinally ranked USTA tennis player, traveling, participating in Boy Scouts of America, practicing photography, and skiing during the winters. In school, I was involved with many clubs, senior captain of the varsity tennis team, and made pottery in my school’s ceramics program. During the summers, I would volunteer my time and help host a summer art camp for kids under 12 years old. I was raised in a home by a mother who valued creativity and sparked curiosity in children through art.

Experience

The story begins in 2015 when my older sister, Sarah, asked me to film her wedding video. With no prior wedding experience, I was up for the challenge. I knew nothing about the proper technique to film a wedding and wanted to be prepared. I spent hours researching everything I needed to know to film a wedding. My camera video settings, the stabilizer stabilized, proper memory cards, what lenses to use, frame rates, etc. There were so many things that I learned very quickly when filming that very first wedding.

After my first wedding, the train left the station, and I was getting offers to do new clients’ wedding videos. I was so surprised that people I had never met wanted me to film their day. I started filming weddings and occasionally photographing a wedding. By this time, I started an Instagram to post my work and the response was incredible. I started working with tons of influencers, engaged couples, families, businesses, personal brands, and more.

While in the beginning stages of my business, I applied for a video editing position at Haugen Creative, a video production firm in Salt Lake City. For the six months that I was there, I was able to learn the ins and outs of video editing using their preferred software. I quickly became rehearsed in the programs and was able to edit videos to their liking. I worked with couples getting married and YouTube personalities to produce content that I edited.

Then about a year later, I became in contact with Doug and Lydia McLaughlin at Nobleman Magazine. We took photos together and working together was seamless. From there we began to create content for Nobleman and their partners.

With all of the great expertise and knowledge I have gained in my business and working for Nobleman, I was able to create a brand that produced high-quality content for so many others. I traveled the world doing my job and I have mastered my skills making me proficient in content creation, sales, and marketing.

Some of the clients I have worked with over the years include brands like Rolls Royce, Mont Blanc, Chopard, Ace of Spades, Clase Azul, Nordstrom, Pantene, Pottery Barn Kids, Mackenzie-Childs, Target, Perrier, Ferrari, and BMW.

Some publications I have been featured in include Nobleman, People, E!News, Page 6, DailyMail UK, Rocky Mountain Bride, Utah Valley Bride, Utah Bride Magazine.
